Serving the needs of refugee children in Colorado's Front Range since 2008

WELCOME!
OUR MISSION STATEMENT IS SIMPLE:
To help newly resettled refugee children assimilate
more easily into their American lives, by providing them with new and appropriate school clothing and supplies.

THE NEED IS GREAT:
The families we serve are trying to build a safe life for their children in our community, after having been forced from their home countries.  Often they arrive with little but what they could carry.  The families we focus on have been in our community for less than two years, and desperately need a helping hand.

OUR RESULTS ARE GRATIFYING:
Thanks to the generosity of so many volunteers and donors, our 2015 event served 383 children and 141 families from two different agencies: the African Community Center of Denver and Lutheran Family Services.   In 2016, with your help, we stand ready
to do even more.

Thank you for visiting our site . . . but we are hopeful that you'll also visit these other websites to gain a deeper understanding of the worldwide refugee problems, the resettlement efforts as well as Colorado's remarkable role in making a difference. We also have a page on this website called "Plight of the Refugee," and we hope you'll visit this important link.

"The need to serve these newly resettled refugee children and families in the metropolitan Denver area is great, and we welcome this opportunity to extend our helping hand.  We invite you to join us.

Please visit the Make a Difference and Volunteer Sign-Up pages of this website for specific details and volunteer opportunities in July 2016."
